What is wrong with the Swipe to Pay button ?

Unable to Swipe to pay on my iPad. It’s killing me.

Lock you for no reason

This stupid app and the bank will lock you for no reasons. If they locked you, it’s hard to reach out to the customer representatives, but on normal days. You can keep getting scam promotion calls from them. Thinking about changing a bank!!!

Cumbersome and Annoying

The app experience itself is fine once you get logged in, but the whole login process is trash. Between the app forgetting your Face ID or forcing you to login with the password every so often I end up spending more time logging in than actually using the app. Awhile back they decided it was a good idea to not let you paste your password in the box. I have a VERY secure 16+ digit random password, this is a massive pain in the butt to log in when you can’t see what you have typed and you can’t paste into the password box. I’m not sure what attack vector they think they are protecting me against, but with all the two-factor confirmations their service sends when any change is made, I find it hard to believe this change is doing anything but annoying users.

Does Not Work With 1Password

App needs to be updated to point to SC Hong Kong website such that 1Password password manager will recognize it is Standard Chartered HK upon opening the app and prompt to enter the password.

Worst Bank App I ever used

Take forever to launch the APP. Once you logged in, expected continuous verification and authorizations in all business. Lagging experience, no responsive at all.

Log in is crap

I am not able to input the account number and not able to finish the login. This is crap

Pretty terrible app, only doing this for the cathay miles

I had expected better from standard chartered. From the endless forced verification codes and upgrades, to not being able to find out how to even PAY the credit card bill from anywhere in the app (not even in the FAQ), you start to feel like they want to make it hard for people to pay off their cards. Come on guys, you can do better.

Totally trash and often unusable.

A terrible app

This app is terrible. It’s slow, it’s convoluted (entering payments and then hitting back goes to the main screen not back in the payment flow), it can’t do many of the things the website can do (cancel autopay, add new payee) and it’s very, very pushy about advertising products I can’t even sign up for. Why advertise new customer products on launch of the banking app? By definition the only reason I have this app is I’m already a customer. Dumb. Unfortunately at the current moment the app won’t launch at all, and just shows me a video. Maybe that’s better? Terrible app and indicative of the bank’s level of service and technology. Mediocre to say the least.

You latest mobile update is not working… Offline Pin also requires mobile app that doesn’t work… What a STUPID idea…

You guys are pathetic , can’t you update in advance your app so that it works with iOS updates ?

unable to open

after my phone upgrade to iOS 16, the SC app become unable to open. And the website requires approval from mobile app to login. This is a dead path. Really unhappy about this situation.

Stupid chat icon

Do u aware that some feature are blocked by your chat icon. It is very ignorance to me! Pls review such stupid design in your app…

Just my two cents after using it for two years

Everything on this app is so slow. You can tell the design is old fashioned. Yes the current ver is better than when it just started, but the road to a good banking app is still long with no ending in sight.

I SHOULD HAVE NEVER INSTALLED THIS!!!!

One I installed this on my iPad, every time I try to log into my AC on the website it needs me to approve it on my iPad! This is terrible! I don’t always have my iPad with me and it does not always have WiFi either, there seems to be no way to delink it, even after I uninstall the app! Extremely bad design. Now I cannot access my account if my iPad is not with me or what if I lost my iPad!

User privacy compromised.

Poorly executed app, both in design and user experience. It is disappointing that they make it compulsory users permit notification by SC HK app or the app will not allow customers to log on. This shows the amount of respect Standard Chartered (or lack there of) has for their customers. Overall a cumbersome and exhausting customer experience, which is in line with any counter service in the branch.

Slow

The app takes forever to launch. Can you guys take down those fancy graphs and focus on performance?

Bad update

It doesn’t work until now at my IOS12.3.1 after the APP has been updated several months ago. OMG! What are you doing? SC Bank HK?

What you really need to do is to hire a bunch of good coders instead of customer service agents :) Your app suuuuuuucks.

Cannot move to iPhone XS

Because of this app, and the over-zealous security policies of SC, I cannot access my accounts. Bought new iPhone, backed up and restored old iPhone. Now the App just crashes every time I try to launch it on a new phone. People regularly change phones - you’d thing that SC would have recognised this and made the process smooth. But no! That would be asking far too much. Additionally - absolutely no support available for this app. Help desk have not got a clue and cannot offer any advice except trying to delete and reinstall the app. Have tried that several times and it does not fix the problem. Honestly SC - you should stick to Banking. Trying to do an app internally is like Google trying to cook hamburgers - you simply don’t have the capability and should contract a professional development shop to get this right.

Face ID doesn’t work

Face ID still doesn’t work. Call the hotline and they just tell you to delete and reinstall. Then, hey-presto, doesn’t work again a couple of days later. Needs a serious overhaul

Surprisingly outdated user interface

Terrible user experience and very outdated interface. But guess it indicates SC doesn't really care about customer experience. Would rate this app 0-star if it was an option.

TouchId doesn’t work well

If the app times out you can’t use touchId function anymore. You will need to reinstall the app again if you want to use touchId

Current version is broken?

This APP has not worked for my iPhone 6 since I updated it about a month ago. It comes up with white screen and nothing else. I deleted and reinstalled it several times but didn’t fix the problem. I have been waiting for a working version, when can you fix the problem & release an update?
